This is straight from the “do as I say not as I do” file.  And, of course, it involves a liberal, tax-and-spend democrat who wants you to pay the taxes. 

Senator John Kerry docked his yacht in Rhode Island instead of in Massachusetts – possibly to avoid  a big tax bill in his home state.  It cost Kerry nothing to dock in Rhode Island, but in Tax-a-chusetts, he would pay a $437-thousand sales tax and $70-thousand in annual excise taxes.  Dogged by news stories and stalked by reporters, Kerry has relented and will pay the taxes.  Now this guy’s wife, Teresa, is rich with Heinz Ketchup money.  So he could afford the bill – he just did not want to pay it.  But as a mainstay of the liberal elite, he has no problem supporting taxes for you to pay – like Obamacare and Cap and Trade.
