We Are Not All Keynesians Anymore

The economic theories of John Maynard Keynes have undergone a stiff test over the past few years in socialist Europe and in Obama’s United States.  What we’ve gotten is unsustainable deficits, a jobless rate hovering around 10 percent and the near collapse of parts of the European Union.  Obama is still a true believer, but the rest of the world is beginning the process of exorcising Keynes.

The 14th Amendment: Rand Is Right

Republican Senate candidate Rand Paul has a way of getting under people’s skin with his libertarian insistence that we actually pay attention to the Constitution.  First he dared to opine that some parts of the 1964 Civil Right Act – while commendable in their ideals  -- might have lacked constitutional authority.  But now, he’s going too far.  He’s saying that the Fourteenth Amendment does NOT grant citizenship to the American-born children of illegal aliens.
