event took place at the “Gingrich Memorial” on the Washington Mall. Admittedly this was an inside joke for
politicos, but it also was a sign of my regard for the ideas of the former
Speaker. That I chose Gingrich for
this “honor” was telling; how absurd would have been a “Romney Memorial?”

Newt Gingrich has a right to be angry. Mitt Romney’s Super PAC, aided and
abetted by Congressman Ron Paul, virtually destroyed his campaign with negative
TV commercials. And now, Newt is
being attacked for using “the language of the left.” But at least two prominent Republicans who are scolding
Gingrich were saying much the same thing four years ago. |

presidential nominee. In
case you’ve haven’t noticed, there is a systematic effort underway to build up
Romney and to take down Newt Gingrich.
Romney is “next in line,” and essentially has become too big to
